Zaha leaves cryptic message on social media.

Young Manchester United forward Wilfried Zaha hinted that he is set to leave the club on a short term deal by leaving a cryptic message under a photo of himself on Instagram.

With business at Old Trafford beginning to warm up, the England under-21 international has been hotly tipped to join Welsh outfit Cardiff City where he will link up with former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjear.

Zaha has barely featured for the side this season after making the move from Premier League new boys over the summer in a £15m move.

However, reports have suggested that he was in the Welsh capital earlier this week to undertake a medical and now the player himself has hinted that his short term future lies away from club.

Liverpool are hoping to close in on a deal to sign Spartak Moscow midfielder Romulo as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his midfield options during the January transfer window, according to thew Metro.

The Reds boss has included the 23-year-old on his list of winter targets and will be looking to step up his efforts to land his signature to help boost the squad in the wake of Lucas Leiva’s injury.

Reports in Russia have claimed that Liverpool have approached Spartak over a move for the eight-cap Brazil international and have told them to name their price.

Romulo primarily operates as a defensive midfielder and has been lauded as an enforced because of his height, power and range of passing as well as his ability to play in the centre of defence too.

Now Liverpool are set to press ahead with an official approach to land his signature and will test the waters with an initial £7m offer.

However, Spartak would be willing to sell at the end of the season and are hoping to earn a fee closer to the £10m mark.

Fellow Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Spanish champions Barcelona have all been credited with an interest, but Liverpool are now said to be frontrunners for prizing him away from the Russian side.

What They Need To Do: Chelsea are strong all over the pitch, apart from up front where it matters most.

Creative and industrial in midfield, they rely on most of their goals to come from there too as Fernando Torres looks no closer to being the player they signed from Liverpool and Samuel Eto’o was past his best before he even joined the club.

Like Arsenal, if they want to make a serious push for the title they will need to being a world class striker in as soon as possible.

What They Need: Strikers

What They Need To Do: Even though the season is only at the halfway point, the Gunners look as though they are good value for the title. The acquisition of Mesut Ozil over the summer added some much needed star power to their ranks and the upturn in form of fellow youngsters Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshire have come as a pleasant surprise.

However, Wenger’s dilly-dallying in the transfer market over the summer meant that another top class striker wasn’t added when they really needed one. The Injury to Lukas Podolski was unforeseen, and Theo Walcott’s own problems only added to the desperate situation.

Olivier Giroud has done well to carry the burden virtually on his own, but he can’t do it alone for much longer, so it is now time for the club to break out the chequebook and spash out on a new goal getter to ensure that they maintain the pace at the top of the tree.
